Solidroad links no longer include your role

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Solidroad links no longer include your workspace role. This article explains what changed, what happens to links you have already shared or bookmarked, and why we made the change.

What changed

Solidroad links used to include your role, so the same page had a different link for an admin, a trainer and a learner. The role is gone from the link. Assignments, Learners, Reporting and the other Training pages now have one link each, starting with app.solidroad.com/dashboard/. For example:

  • app.solidroad.com/trainer/dashboard/assignments became app.solidroad.com/dashboard/assignments

  • app.solidroad.com/admin/dashboard/learners became app.solidroad.com/dashboard/learners

  • app.solidroad.com/admin/dashboard/reporting became app.solidroad.com/dashboard/reporting

You can share one link with anyone on your team, and each person sees the version of that page their role allows. Permissions stay as they were.

Existing bookmarks and shared links

You do not need to change anything.

  • Existing bookmarks and links in older emails keep working.

  • If someone opens a link built for a different role, Solidroad sends them to their own version of the page.

  • The next time you update a shared doc or onboarding guide, copy the shorter link from your browser's address bar.

Why we made this change

Custom roles are coming soon. With roles out of the URL, a link stays valid when someone's role changes, and the role names you create will not show up in the links you share.
