How to create a persona for simulation

This guide will show you how to create, customize, and manage personas for simulations, including defining details, selecting attributes, and adjusting features like voice and avatar.

Follow these simple steps to create and manage personas effectively within the Solidroad platform:

  1. Log in to your Solidroad admin account. In the upper left corner of the screen, click the 'Library' tab, then click the 'Personas' tab.

2. Once you are on the Personas page, you will see a list of created personas. To create a new one, click the 'Create' tab.

3. After you click the 'Create' tab you have, you will be routed to the 'Create persona' page.

i. First on the persona page is the prompt where you must enter the manual prompt and click the 'Generate' tab. Once you click the 'Generate' tab, the system will automatically fill in the other boxes for the persona. You can edit the details before saving.

ii. Avatar - Once the prompt is generated, you can change the photo of your 'Avatar'.

iii. Voice – You can select different voices from the dropdown selection and hear them by clicking the play button.

iv. You can freely change the Name, Job title (optional), Company (optional), Description, and Traits. Once you are satisfied with the persona details for the simulation, click the 'Save' tab.

4. All newly created personas are displayed in the Perona list, and the admin user can edit or delete the personas saved in the system at any time.

i. To edit a persona, click the persona tab you wish to edit, and the persona box will appear. From there, click the 'Edit' tab.

ii. Once you've edited the details of the persona box, hit the 'Update' tab, and the system will save the changes.

iii. If you wish to delete the created persona, click the persona tab and hit the 'Delete' tab. Note that you cannot reinstate a saved persona once you delete it.

Now that you know how to create and manage simulation personas, you can begin building realistic and interactive experiences for your training scenarios. If you need to make changes or updates, simply edit or delete personas as necessary to ensure they fit your simulation’s requirements

User manual definition of terms:

Prompt: A short description or instruction entered by the admin to create a persona. The system uses it to fill in the persona's details, which can be edited later.

Avatar: An image that represents the persona. It can be customised to show what the persona looks like in the simulation.

Voice: The sound or tone used for the persona in the simulation. Admins can pick and listen to different voices before choosing one.

Traits: The qualities or characteristics that define the persona's behaviour, personality, and role. Admins can change these to fit the simulation.

Simulation: A virtual replica of real-world scenarios used for training, practice, or testing without the risks or costs of real-life situations.

Admin User: Has full access to settings, manages users, assigns roles, and oversees the platform's operations, including content, personas, and simulations.
