How to manage users

Welcome to the User Settings guide in Solidroad. This guide helps you manage users, permissions, groups, and roles. As an admin, you can customize roles and control access to ensure the right people have the appropriate permissions.

Follow these steps to manage users, roles, and permissions within your organisation:

  1. Log in to your Solidroad admin account. Then, click the ‘Settings’ icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.

2. Navigate to the ‘Users’ Tab
On the Settings page, click the 'Users' tab. Here, you will see the number of users in your organisation with active accounts on the Solidroad platform and have the option to invite new users.

i. Users— This section displays a list of all active users. You can manage their roles from here, including Admin, Learner, Group Leader, and Read-only Admin. You can also invite new users.

a. All roles – Use this filter to display users by specific roles in the list.

b. You can sort the list by columns such as Learner, Role, and Joined On.

c. Click the drop-down arrow under the Role column to change a user's role. Select the new role, and the system will automatically save the change.

d. Groups managed – This column shows the group to which each user belongs.

e. To remove a user, click the ellipsis icon () under the Joined On column. Select 'Remove user' from the options.

f. You can quickly find a user by typing their name in the search box.

g. Click the Invite tab to add new users. A pop-up will appear where you can enter the user’s email, select a role, and click ‘Send Invitations’. The user will receive an invitation via email.

ii. Invitations – This section shows all pending invitations. The difference between this section and the Users section is that it includes features such as the All filter, Invited column, and Status column.

a. All - Use this filter to display invitations based on their status (e.g., All, accepted, Pending).

b. Invited - This column shows how many days ago the invitation was sent.

c. Status - This column shows the current status of each invitation (e.g., pending, accepted)

With these steps, you can efficiently manage users, assign appropriate roles, and control permissions to ensure everyone in your organisation has the proper access.

User manual definition of terms:

Admin: A user with full access to manage all settings, users, and content on Solidroad.

Learner: A user who participates in training programs and has access to content but cannot change platform settings.

Group Leader: A user who manages a group of learners and tracks their progress.

Read-only Admin: A user who can view settings and user information but cannot make any changes.

Role: A title that determines what a user can do on Solidroad, like Admin, Learner, or Group Leader.

Users Tab: A section in the settings where you can manage user accounts and their roles.

Ellipsis Icon: A three-dot icon that gives extra options, like removing users.

Users: Individuals who are assigned tasks or roles within the training platform. Users can be learners or trainers within the simulation.

Group: A set of learners organised for collaborative training and performance tracking.

Simulation: A virtual replica of real-world scenarios used for training, practice, or testing without the risks or costs of real-life situations.
