Solidroad + Gong Integration Guide

Automatically evaluate sales conversations from Gong using Solidroad’s scorecard-based QA tools.

What the Gong Integration Does

The Gong integration allows you to pull sales call transcripts from Gong into Solidroad, where they can be automatically scored using your custom scorecards.

Solidroad is designed to help revenue teams evaluate:

  • Discovery quality

  • Sales methodology alignment

  • Objection handling

  • Soft skills and coaching opportunities

You can run bulk evaluations on large volumes of Gong calls, helping sales managers surface key coaching moments and measure rep performance across entire pipelines.

Note: Gong video is not currently supported in Solidroad. Only audio transcripts are available for scoring.


What You’ll Need

To set up the Gong integration, you must have:

  • A Gong admin account (required for authorization)

  • Access to Solidroad with permission to manage integrations


How to Set Up the Gong Integration

  1. Log in to Solidroad.

  2. Go to the Integrations tab in the bottom-left corner.

  3. Find the Gong integration and toggle it on.

  4. You will be prompted to authorize access to Gong’s call transcript data.

  5. You will be redirected to Gong to approve the integration.

  6. After authorization, return to Solidroad. The toggle will indicate the integration is active.


How to Run QA on Gong Calls

  1. Navigate to the Quality tab.

  2. Click "New Bulk Evaluation."

  3. Enter a name for your evaluation.

  4. Select the Gong integration (it may be preselected).

  5. Choose a scorecard or create a new one to evaluate the calls.

  6. Define your conditions for filtering the calls to be scored.

  7. Optionally, use custom attribute filters to refine by team, call type, deal stage, or other metadata.

Note: A live preview of conversation count is only available after the first filter step. Custom attributes do not display a count at this time.

  1. On the final step, choose the agent (or rep) to be scored in each case.

  2. Click "Analyze" to start scoring. This process may take several minutes depending on the number of calls included.


Reviewing Evaluation Results

Once your evaluation has completed, Solidroad provides a full analysis including:

  • A conversation list in the left panel

  • The full Gong call transcript in the middle panel

  • QA scores and breakdowns in the right panel, including:

    • Scorecard section scores

    • Suggested coaching insights

    • Performance metrics like talk ratio or response quality (depending on your scorecard setup)


Troubleshooting Tips

  • If the Gong toggle doesn’t appear, check your Solidroad role permissions.

  • Make sure your Gong account has admin rights if the integration fails to authorize.

  • If calls are missing from your evaluation, review your date filters or transcript criteria.
